Systems and Formula: Emotions, Scent and the Law of Attraction

This is a follow up to Emotions, Scent and the Law of Attraction. It’s suggested that you read that article before reviewing these how-to steps to accomplish the goals introduced in it.

There are several techniques that can be used within an emotion, scent and law of attraction system. The basic premise is to create a system that enhances the focus and desire behind any goal; health, beauty, personal life or business.

The basic steps are simple:

  1. Have a well identified and focused goal, including the emotion or feeling that would be expressed from achieving this goal.

  2. Choose an essential oil or blend (one that will match your goal or outcome) and at first only smell when in meditation or other relaxed positive feeling environment while focused on the desired thought, emotion, intention and/or affirmation. This step creates a memory bond between the scent and desired outcome.

  3. Repeat step two 5 to 10 times (generally days) in a row. Do not use this scent outside of the practice during this time. Following this smell and intention memory bonding, carry the blend and periodically sniff the aroma. This can be done as a spray, diffused, massage, bath, skin care, for any system that will trigger the positive association of the scent with the goal.

If there are doubts, stress or disbelief, this will be the association with your chosen fragrance. Be Clear!

This easy system is designed to create a memory and emotional bond with the scent. It’s important that step two is accomplished when the feeling of achieving the goal is positive. If there are doubts, stress or disbelief, this will be the association with your chosen fragrance. Be Clear!

There are several more detailed directions for this system that are best addressed when consulting a professional familiar with scent memory and intention. Choosing the essential oil or a blend (which is  recommended) best suited to the individual and their intention is important to achieve the best results. The blend should include the most effective oils that have an olfactory limbic system response, therapeutic properties and metaphysical or energetic responses that match the goal.

The blend aroma should “feel” like it will deliver your desires.

Choosing your oil blend can be based on many conditions including, of course, enjoying the fragrance. The blend aroma should also “feel” like it will deliver your desires; such as rose scent for issues of the heart or earthy notes for grounding. Fragrance is subjective, so this step is unique to each person.

Blends are suggested to avoid essential oils that may already have a memory imprinted. Blends create a unique scent emotion memory, even though they may contain identifiable notes and familiar scents.

Blend suggestions include:

Calm & Easy - An ideal blend for many intentions and goals of health, beauty and wellness. The light floral, vanilla and citrus come together for an uplifting feel with components that address stress, anxiety and depression. It soothes the nervous system which may be beneficial if used to relieve addictive behaviors.

Active Peace - Counteract chaotic thought and negativity. Eease a worried and troubled mind and transport an interconnected consciousness to stimulate world and community peace.

Simply Love - The focus of this blend is love, obvious from its name. The intention is self-love, finding love, family love, community love, love of all life and the planet, or wherever your heart needs encouragement or support. Also good to encourage forgiveness and gratitude. It is emotional strength and support wrapped within the beauty and fragrance of the rose. The essential oils are combined in a ready to use jojoba base for application to hair, skin or general perfuming.

Pain Away - A potent blend of therapeutic essential oils to reduce inflammation, and pain, with properties to heal wounds and injuries. The blend is very beneficial for chronic complaints when used within the emotion, scent, law of attraction system. The familiar scent of included herbal pain relievers will support the mind-body connection to ease arthritis discomfort or sore muscles. The blend is combined with healing carrier oils and ready to apply.

Creating your own blends can be a fun, creative and therapeutic practice. As you formulate,  keep the intention, or goal, in mind. Select essential oils that deliver specific therapeutic properties related to your goal, with scents that you personally identify with your intention and any metaphysical properties you associate with the oils. The resulting blend should have the fragrance and feel of your intention.

blending example for emotion, scent, law of attraction (intention or desire):

Intention: self-esteem and self-expression

Fragrance and metaphysical goal: earthy, empowering, nurturing

Selected essential oils and formula: ginger, Atlas cedarwood, rosemary (CT cineole/camphor), geranium, lemon

Ginger (Zingiber officinalis) - 4 drops

Atlas Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica) - 5 drops

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) CT cineole/camphor - 2 drops

Geranium (Pelargonium asperum) - 4 drops

Lemon (Citrus limon) - 5 drops

This blend can be used in a diffuser or spray. To make a spray, add the total of the above formula to one ounce of distilled water and shake before using. The total formula can be added to one ounce of carrier cream or oil for topical application (1 ounce or 30 mL).

An extensive dialogue is necessary to explain each oil selection and how each, along with the finished blend, provide the influence and therapeutic function of the intention, fragrance and metaphysical descriptions above. This is a subjective choice based on an individual interpretation. When in a consulting situation, the explanation of function and purpose of the blend that is given to the user in the pursuit of the goal, will provide a verbal olfactory cue, directing an anticipated response.
